With your help, we have ambitious goals to scale the business (locally & internationally!) by building the most beautiful, powerful tools for our customers. Our B2B customers range from national venue groups including Australian Venue Co, Sydney Airport, stadiums all the way to boutique hotels and family-run cafes and restaurants.

Our team is made up of over 60 kind and driven humans working out of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Los Angeles, London and The Philippines. We’re hiring this role for our beautiful Melbourne HQ — where we’re enjoying a mix of WFH and time collaborating in the office.

About the position

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will take ownership for the success of venues utilising our Marketing / Growth tools. If you have experience driving uptake of marketing tools and strategies for partners, and are passionate about the hospitality and entertainment industry, we’d love to meet you.

From keeping customers aware of features, to launching new markets and keeping it all tied in a neat bow with advanced reporting, Marketing is an integral part of growth at Mr Yum. This role is ideal if you're experienced in driving outcomes for partner’s marketing through educational content, product comms and partnerships. 

Rather than marketing Mr Yum with B2B tactics, you’ll create marketing strategies which educate and encourage our 1100+ venues to utilise our marketing tools to grow their business. This means high visibility and high impact, with heaps of room for career growth on the team.

Mr Yum venues own their customer data, so have opportunities to build loyalty, personalised comms, and retargeting with Facebook and Google. Some venues in your audience will have a 6 person marketing team. Others will have half a pair of front-of-house hands to help on Marketing. Both audiences require the support and content to drive uptake of our features. Think of it as an awesome blend between product marketing, content/comms and customer experience. Your marketing programs will include both education programs “to” partners and the development of “joint” demand generation and brand awareness programs.


We're looking for the person in this role to:

  • Own the company’s KPI on uptake and success of venues utilising our marketing / growth tools.
  • Create informative content such as Loom videos, Webinars, in-person events which provide product training to partners.
  • Lead our cadence of email and SMS product updates to live venues so everyone in their business knows what’s new on Mr Yum. 
  • Partner with Sales and our existing marketing team to include marketing tools in lead-generation content, as a unique selling point for Mr Yum 
  • Support globalisation and localisation of venue-facing campaigns to drive our international growth in the US, UK and beyond.
  • Manage Mr Yum’s industry partnerships and marketing referral relationships with a network of preferred agencies and marketing tools.

If we'd worked with you in the past 6 weeks, you would have been involved with:

  • Developed a new cadence and format for our ‘March Product Update’ email, sent to over 1000 venue to describe new marketing and operational tools.
  • Dived into HubSpot to explore venue segmentation, finding out that many more venues could be installing Google Tag Manager on their Mr Yum menu URL.
  • Piloted new campaigns such as Weekly Webinars and Fireside Chats with marketing agencies to educate venues on marketing strategy. 
  • Got to know the product by building your own menu and sitting on go-live calls with the best Australian venues.

  2. You’re a partner marketing specialist You know the right channel mix to reach busy venue owners and managers and add value to their marketing plans.
  3. You eat data for breakfast 🍳 Strategic and business-minded - you find trends in your data and look for the “so what”. Your attention to detail makes for an immaculate campaign set up.
  4. You’re a do-er and accountable teammate You’re used to (or keen to get used to!) working in a small but mightily supportive crew, taking 100% ownership. You understand the bottom line and what impact you have on the business, and this motivates you to prioritise and execute the right tasks and work independently to #getsh*tdone.
  5. You’re passionate about marketing You’ll know what's new in marketing, and blow us away with the latest knowledge (we’re all ears!). You want to work with a team that is collaborative, no-ego, and focused on delivering results with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills 

  • 4+ years experience in partner marketing in a fast-paced company, working directly with customers to drive their marketing results. 
  • Experience in developing partner facing programs, strong experience in managing and influencing multiple partners of varied sizes to execute on shared goals.
  • Experience working directly with Product, Sales and Customer Success teams to drive cross-functional projects. Account Management experience is a big plus.
  • Confident in copywriting and identifying good visual design. Think: can confidently write and deploy a product email to venues.
  • Creative and empathetic thinker; you always think of customers first.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics tools including, but not limited to Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot, Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager.

Nice to have

  • First-hand experience with CRM/email marketing, and get excited about things like subject lines and open rates (we do!)
  • Past entrepreneurial or startup experience.
  • Past hospitality and/or entertainment experience.
  • Success working in cross-functional teams, hitting targets.
  • Global marketing experience and strong understanding of international market trends.
